The General Conference of the Adventist Church, East-Central Africa Division (ECD) Communication Department, ushered in the New Year 2013 with the training and retraining of all Church ministers, Departmental Directors and other Para-Church leaders on the latest Innovative Transformation (IT) development.
The workshop lasting six days covered:
(i) Technology Tools
(ii) Social Networks
(iii) Video Production & Still Photography
(iv) Public Relations (Publicity)
(v) Audio Production
(vi) Crisis Management
(vii) Convergence Technology
(viii) Pod-casting
(ix) Adventist Websites
(x) Intellectual Property Rights
(xi) Digital Migration
(xii) News Writing& Editing
The import and impact of this timely session is to enhance effective communication in the presentation of the Adventist Biblical truths and ethics, as well as related values. This is intended to develop and uplift humankind to the glory of God and the soon return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In view of this the Church must employ both, the latest as well as conversional tools of communication.
Innovative Transformation (IT) is one such latest tool being introduced to these church workers. Perhaps it could prove the best yet.
ECD countries include:-
Tanzania (hosting the workshop), Kenya (ECD headquarters), Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Sudan and Southern Sudan.
